In greek mythology, the chimera (KAI-MER-UH) has many different variations. The specific depiction this piece draws from is a three headed dragon with the head of a lion, a hawk, and a snake.The dark, low voice melodies showcase the chilling and unsettling presence of the chimera.While many stories focus on the hero, this piece makes the chimera the main character.The chimera's castle is cold and unwelcoming and attempting to seize it is a losing battle.The chimera waiting inside the castle walls is vicious and heartless.However improbable their success may be, many still try to invade the chimera's keep.
